IAEI, ICC Announce Agreement to Improve Safety
Improving public safety through the use and proper installation of code compliant electrical products is the purpose of an agreement signed between the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and the International Code Council. The two organizations share a common mission concerning the safety of the built environment and will advance shared goals, including code development related to electrical safety and a joint certification program.
IAEI and the ICC have worked together for many years. The new memorandum of understanding significantly strengthens the relationship between the two professional organizations and furthers shared goals to improve public safety in the built environment. The MOU specifies activities and arrangements intended to jointly advance mutual interests to promote the development, application and enforcement of codes and standards concerning electrical safety. In addition to the new agreement, all IAEI offered classes can now be applied to those with ICC certifications.
We are also pleased to have Dominic Sims Executive Vice President, Director of Operations for ICC, in attendance with us this September at the Northwest Section Meeting in Montana!
